UMOSS
The University of Melbourne Optometry Student Society
UMOSS is the official student representative body for students of the Doctor of Optometry (OD) course at the University of Melbourne.
Since establishment in 1948, our primary goal with UMOSS is to enrich the OD student experience, by providing a platform where students can socialise, network and build on their knowledge. Ultimately, we are here to represent and protect the interests of you, our peers in the OD program.
WHO ARE WE?
UMOSS hosts a wide variety of social events throughout the year, from networking events, to our annual boat cruise and annual (eye)ball. In addition to social events, UMOSS also hosts educational seminars and peer-assisted programs, like our “Big Brother Big Sister” mentorship program and revision sessions, to help foster a supportive learning environment and encourage collaborative study to improve academic performance.
With a wide variety of events and programs, there’s something in store for every OD student!
